In this episode I sat down with a long-time partner in crime in the world of fishing travel and dear friend Tim Brune aka Saskabrune, Flatsmaster T, Odd Job, Timmy 2 or 3 times, and now finally Cameroon-Brune. We discuss the challenges of departing for Cameroon the next day, a storied family history of fishing and hunting and our travels together, we have fun. I first met Tim on an overnight trip to SF around the time we both moved to the area, we took our first international trip together in 2007 when Tim asked me to join him in Panama. Since then, it has been off to the races.
When I sat down to write his introduction, I was taken aback by the places we have fished together, it’s not that we have fished the places that affected me, it was that we had done it together. We have seen each at our lowest points and have also been fortunate enough to experience things we don’t talk about or feel the need to, we were there. Some things are better left alone in this day and age. We have traveled to Panama, Guyana, Canada, Northwest Territories, Belize, Mexico a dozen times, the Brazil 3 times, Seychelles 4 times, Mauritius 4 times, Myanmar, Australia, Tanzania, Dubai, and so on. Tim currently lives in Victor, ID with his wonderful wife Julie.
